About flarePDF

Free PDF tools, done properly

flarePDF is a set of PDF tools that run 100% inside your browser. Edit, convert, compress, merge, sign, and organize documents without signing up, downloading software, or letting your files leave your device.

Why we built flarePDF

PDF tools should be simple and honest. Most online editors upload your documents to a server, need an account before the first upload, stamp a watermark on the result, or put the important features behind a paywall. That never sat right with us.

So we built flarePDF around a single rule: your files never leave your device. Everything — editing text in its original font, merging pages, OCR on scans, compression — happens with JavaScript in this browser tab. The site fetches what it needs once, and the tools keep working even with no connection.

How we work

Runs in your browser

Every tool works on local JavaScript in the current tab. There is no server, no cloud processing, and no queue.

Private by design

Your files never leave your device. Open your network inspector and watch — nothing goes out.

Free forever

No paid tiers, no premium walls, no credits. The tools are what we make, and they are free.

No tricks

No sign-up, no watermark, no file-size limit, and no forced downloads. What you see is what you get.

Privacy, simplified

There is one thing we take more seriously than anything else: your documents. They never upload, never get indexed, and never appear anywhere except this browser tab. Read the full detail on the privacy page.
